SILVER STATE

We own just over 100 acres and lease another 440 acres. We have some irrigated pasture for the cows and raise alfalfa. Diane's dad was using Beefmaster bulls in the 1970's and we began with crossbred cows and purebred Beefmaster bulls. We started in the upgrading program and have purchased purebred cows at sales over the years and keep most of our heifers.  We do ultrasound testing on the bulls, vaccinate and do ear-notch BVD testing on all the animals. Our cattle run on irrigated pasture, desert ground that grows mostly greasewood and salt grass, and river bottom pasture. Some of our customers run on some pretty rough country in rural Nevada and our bulls have held up well under these conditions.

Who We Are

Diane was born and raised in Fallon, NV and Dalton was born in Amherst, TX. We have been married for 40 years. Dalton, with his two brothers, has owned D & D Plumbing since 1978 and they have shops in Reno and Fallon. Diane has been a Real Estate Salesperson with Berney Realty, Ltd for 32 years. Fortunately our day jobs are flexible enough so we can take time off to irrigate, doctor animals, work cows or go to bull sales. Our daughter Erin and her husband Dan live in Fernley, NV with our granson, Callen. Our son Waylon and wife Candace live in Washoe Valley, NV with our three granddaughters, Madison, Brooke, and Regan. When we aren't working, Dalton enjoys archery hunting and fishing and Diane likes working in the yard, reading and being with the grandkids.
